According to a Culinary Arts Center publication I just received NATIONAL WAFFLE WEEK is Sept. 4-10. Waffles may not get a month, but it seems they rate than a mere day. And who wouldn't want to celebrate the waffle?
There's even a picture of a 5 waffle/fruit compote sandwich/dish. Yummy.
